UK’s main aircraft carrier misses major NATO exercises after problems

by Ahmed Adel, Cairo-based geopolitics and political economy researcher Britain’s HMS Queen Elizabeth, commissioned in 2017 and the country’s main aircraft carrier, will not participate in NATO’s Steadfast Defender-2024 exercise due to a technical problem, the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy announced on February 4.
