On This Day in 1974, U.S. President Gerald Ford Explains Pardon of Nixon to Congress

As our nation is possibly facing the criminal indictment of Former U.S. President Donald for crimes against the state it is fruitful to remember that we were once in a similar position.  The question is how did the then-sitting U.S. President Ford handle it?
